The Department of Justice recommended the filing of tax evasion charges against actor Richard Gomez before the Court of Tax Appeals. The charge stemmed from a complaint filed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue on April 14, 2005. BIR complained that Gomez did not file his income tax return for the years 2000 up to 2003.
