It's a Friday and I was expecting to unwind. This morning, in fact, I was on a weekend mode: woke up late, soundtripped, smoked 30 minutes before my official time-in.
The day looked promising, I had one story but it was fairly easy to write. I was excited. On my mind were three things: beer, beer, and beer.
Until ...
the Supreme Court issued a temporary restraining order on the implementation of the expanded value-added tax (R.A. 9337). It came out around 6:30 p.m. and it meant only one thing: I'd be stuck in the office.
SAKSI will have it as its take one (the equivalent of a frontpage banner story in print). So right now, I'm trying to understand the petitioners' positions for inclusion in my report. Beer, would have to wait for a while, unfortunately.
Effectively, the gods of Padre Faura, has indirectly issued a T.R.O. on my Friday night.
Hay.
