Manang Inday vs. Ate Glo

You cannot have a better proof than what had happened today at Susan Roces' press conference to say that politics in this country, unfortunately, is personal.

Roces was fuming, spewing fire, in journalistic parlance, soundbite after soundbite.

Wearing a white top and eyeglasses she barked at the President, "...Arogante siya. Hindi niya isinalang-alang ang damdamin ng nakakarami, manhid!"

Any acting advice to the President? Oh yes! "Hindi nanggaling sa iyong puso ang paghingi mo ng sorry. Kitang kita ko sa iyong mga mata na ibig mo na naman kaming isahan."

More:

"She has done enough damage to our country. She has put our country and countrymen to shame."

And she said, towards the end of the question and answer portion, responding to a question from a reporter regarding the President's announcement that her husband is leaving the country voluntarily, "Hindi ko alam ang kasaysayan ng kanilang pagmamahalan."

This is perhaps our history's biggest catfight.

Let's wait and see if the President will react to this. Will she perhaps call Manang Inday and say, "Hello, Swanie? ... I am sorry." Hehehehe.
